Being in booming South Charlotte and just 20 minutes to Charlotte's International Airport, the Central Downtown Business District and Charlotte's civic, cultural and sports centers has made Ballantyne an exceptional choice for corporate and family relocations. 

 

Demographic reports indicate a growth rate within three miles of Ballantyne of 64.6% and within one mile of 135.8% from 1990 to 2000. Average household income during the same period grew from $52,007 to $128,562 within one mile. Over the next five years, the average income within that same mile is expected to reach $174,098. 

Clearly, the Ballantyne area is growing rapidly with white-collar high-income families. By comparison with the SouthPark area, the average household income within one mile is higher in Ballantyne ($128,562 to $114,581) and it is also considerably higher within five miles ($105,877 to $90,778).
